Alice Nutter Witch of Pendle Collectable Doll - Small - Green
Product Description
Alice Nutter, a gentlewoman of Roughlee and friend of the Demdike family, accused of taking part in a witches Good Friday gathering at Malkin Tower in England 1600, was found guilty and hanged in Lancaster in 1612. (It took them 12 years to catch her!)
She is very elaborately detailed from her velvet blouse with bell shaped sleeves and lace trimming, double skirt in satin and velvet to her beautiful dark taffeta hat with satin trimming.
As a final touch, bead bracelets, earrings, a phial full of herbs and a fluffy black spider that just attached itself to her hat!
Best of all she wears a beautiful smile on her face – all highly detailed in porcelain.
Alice Nutter, the witch doll, measures 9 1/5 inches long and can be hung from the transparent thread which is attached to her hat. Like all of our Pendle Witches, she comes with a complimentary copy of the Trial and History of the Witches of Pendle.
